General Questions

We will make every effort to ensure your trip goes ahead.  Our professional guides will always make decisions based on safety but a trip would be cancelled only in exceptional circumstances.

Whilst our extensive experience and knowledge will give you the best possible opportunity to see the key birds on your list we cannot guarantee it.  We are developing a rating system that will show you the likelihood of seeing key species at certain times of year at the location of your choice.


The price quoted will include all of the details contained on that individual page.  This will include details of airport transfer, accommodation and food options which are included with your package.  There will be no direct surcharges for making use of any of the services detailed as included on the tour page.  We do not include evening meal on any tour package, and whilst we include pick up and drop off during the days tours we do not include any personal car hire which you may wish to arrange.  Travel insurance is also not included and must be arranged prior to your arrival with us.

Deposits are non-refundable.  Once a deposit is made you have up until the point of WildAlmeria taking the remainder of your payment to cancel your tour.  At the point that full payment is made no refunds will be given unless in exceptional circumstances. Travel insurance is your own responsibility.

We understand that you may not have a printer handy when you’re traveling so it is not necessary to have a printed copy. However, we require that you show ID matching your reservation and also the Order # that is immediately emailed to you after you make your reservation.  This order number will also need to be used to make bank transfer payment and must be quoted as a reference at the point of processing your payment.  For those clients where we are doing airport pick up you will need to liaise with us within 1 month of booking your trip, and no later than 3 weeks before arriving, regarding your airport pick up location and time.

As this is a bespoke service it is essential that you contact us to discuss the options that will fit your budget and schedule.  We are able to arrange single, or multi day tours subject to availability and your requirements.  This can include accommodation, food, transport, car hire, multiple locations, or dedicated missions to spot a missing bird from your lifetime list!  We will always go the extra mile to ensure your needs are met and indeed exceeded.  Bespoke tours are available at all advertised locations and we can create bespoke individual tours at locations across the globe on request.


Wear whatever is comfortable. It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of broken-in trail shoes, boots, or sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable.  Depending on the time of year you will need to choose the attire most suited to the expected weather.  Avoid brightly coloured clothing on birdwatching tours and choose sandy and earth colour or muted greens at most locations.

As mentioned elsewhere within these questions bring clothing which is appropriate for the season.  You may wish to bring your own binoculars or scope but we also have a hire service available should you require.  Many of our guests bring a camera and phone and we can provide space to carry additional items of equipment on request.  We would also suggest that a method of recording sightings is brought along.  Lunch will provided on most tours and we can safely store cash and credit/debit cards on request.
